About Me

Marcia Molnar
I was born and raised in Ohio, but moved to Charlottesville, VA in 2006.  I became interested in photography as a child after receiving my father’s hand-me-down point and shoot cameras.  I later received my father’s 35mm Minolta and studied photography in 1998 through continuing education classes given at the University of Akron.  I have taken workshops with Bill Allard, Tony Sweet, Jim Steele, and Maggie Steber.

Photography brings me joy.  It has taught me how to see things in a new light, how to escape life’s stressors, and patience.  I enjoy photographing all subjects, mostly in natural light.  I enjoy capturing moments in time.
